MANSLAUGHTER
Directed by Pieter Kuijpers (Nothing to Lose)
Drama.
Max, a city ambulance driver is close to the edge. Insulted,
abused, sometimes even threatened, it is only a paper thin
wall that separates him from, one day, striking back. A
confrontation with a gang of youths spirals out of control,
leading to a fatal punch that kills one of the men. Emerging
from prison one year later, having served a short sentence
for manslaughter, Max tries to rebuild his life. Unable
to return to his job, Max works for a local TV celebrity
Felix. But in Felix's powerful hands, and prey to the whims
of a fickle media, Max is more vulnerable than ever before
- and his sanity hangs dangerously by a thread.
