KOFTE Director: Michiel van Jaarsveld After his wife, a culinary goddess in the kitchen, suddenly passes away, Erdal is left to prop up the failing family restaurant with his only son, Nuri, a clown who can't tell the difference between a tomato and an aubergine. Nuri also happens to be engaged to the high maintenance Leyla, daughter of Erdal's business rival, Zafer, who plots to take over The Sultan and turn Erdal's family restaurant into another characterless victim in his chain of fast food kebab shops.
